IT SNOWED! COME TAKE A LOOK

I had not planned on posting until next week, but we had a snow day--I mean a real snow day! The sky opened up and let fall enough snow to cover us up.

I'm having trouble remembering a snow that came in December when all the decorations were up. That made the day unexpectedly special. Something about that blanket of white. In the more southern parts of the South, we only see snow about once every other year (or less), so I must confess that I acted like a five year old most of the day. :-)

From the back porch... My son and my dad built the deer feeder when he was in middle school.

This is the side yard that lines the driveway.

Teenager parking...

We live in a unique neighborhood. It may look like we are in the middle of no where, but we are actually in the middle of our community. The development was created with wooded lots of all sizes. We've been here almost fourteen years. We only have one "baby" still at home, and we've talked about down sizing, but it would be hard to leave this place. The privacy so close to town would be hard to replicate.

It was a great snow day. Lots of Netflix and coffee had by all! Does it snow in your neck of the woods?
