WHAT I'VE PAINTED LATELY

I thought I would show you how three things I've painted this summer turned out. They're all part of what I call my "lighter and brighter" plan. I'm trying to lighten up some of the rooms and furnishings in our home to create brighter spaces. It's been going on for quite some time now. :-)

PROJECT ONE

I spray painted a planter that I wanted to use on my dining room table. I used Churchill Hotel Vanilla spray paint by Valspar. The dinning room table, once my grandparents', is a dark wood. Now the planter shows up better.

PROJECT TWO

I painted my knife set in the kitchen.

I used three coats of paint, but it took no time to complete. I'm still using the same paint sample I bought months ago for the topiary project in my breakfast area.

I like how it now complements the urn holding the cooking utensils on the other side of the cook top.

PROJECT THREE

The last quick painting project I've done was for my bedroom. I've had this medallion for years and plan on using it for the television area in the room. I shared the spot I'm working on here.

I think the gold is going to look good! I'll show you how the television's new home turned out soon.

Have you painted anything lately?
